We have many requests from agencies throughout our community with opportunities for our students (and parents) to volunteer and strengthen our community. Many of these service opportunities will fulfill student Christian Service requirements. Easter Seals Crossroads

Camp FUEL is a camp for adolescents with disabilities and special needs who are ages 11-17 years old. Campers benefit from Fun and Unique Experiential Learning activities including skill building, special guests, field trips and peer mentoring. Camp FUEL is held at J. Everett Light Career Center. There are three, two-week sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning June 12 and ending July 20. Volunteers should be between the ages of 13-17, as they will be acting as peer mentors for camp participants. Requirements & Commitment: Must be at least 13; Orientation or Training ; Full Day: 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.;Tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
iCan Bike Camp
iCan Bike Camp is presented by Easterseals Crossroads in partnership with Rainbow’s End Optimist Club and Indy Parks - is a special needs bike camp for participants to learn how to ride a conventional bicycle. The program is directed by professionals from iCan Bike, but the leg work is accomplished by a large number of volunteers who act as "spotters" for the participants on the bikes. A "spotter" walks/ jogs/ runs alongside the participant and provides physical support and encouragement.
We need 2 volunteers per participant and that translates to a tremendous need for 80 spotters to fulfill the needs of the camp. Spotters are asked to sign up for the same 75-minute session each day for five days and are matched with the same rider each session. This allows the opportunity for the rider to develop trust in the spotter. Volunteers are required to attend orientation on Sunday, June 18, 2017.

Cathedral bus leaves campus parking lot every Thursday am at 7:30am sharp, Beginning June 15th thru July 27th. We cook and serve a hot breakfast for the children and seniors at Anna's House. We return to campus between 11:15 - 11:30 am.
WE WILL ONLY BE SERVING DINNER ON JUNE 14th and then back on schedule September 13th.

Joseph Maley Foundation needs the support of our volunteers! If your are or plan to volunteer for the JMFitness programs consider volunteering and getting a jump start on your hours.
You may receive up to 1/3 but not more than 5 hours of your total hours required for volunteering 1 Fundraising in support of the agency you volunteer with. Example: Freshman can get 3 hours; Soph. 5 hrs.; Juniors up to 5 hrs. ; Seniors 5hrs.

Notre Dame Ace School
Notre Dame Ace Schools are reaching out to the local high schools to advertise the service opportunities below. We are hoping that our Cathedral students will offer a few extra hands for the days below. Holy Angel, St. Philip Neri, and Central Catholic mentor you can use these towards mentoring hours! We welcome all new students are want to be a part of the Ntre Dame Academies mentoring. I'm attaching an Application and Time Sheet below.
Holy Cross Central Catholic School Days of Service

Help Holy Cross Central prepare for the 2017-18 school year! Weather permitting, small outdoor projects, inside cleaning and organizing. Stay for the entire morning, or as your schedule allows. Pizza lunch provided.
Holy Angels Catholic School Drop-in Service

Assist with an all-school move as we rotate classrooms for the coming school year, spend time with students visiting for community lunch days. Stay for the entire morning or as your schedule allows. Many projects to help with! Lunch provided.

NEW St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry Change!!
St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry has created a Sign Up Genius page for student volunteers.
You MUST be Signed Up to volunteer this year! Mrs. Sweeney has been very generous
allowing 10 spots to be reserved for our Cathedral students. Starting August 19th you MUST
be signed up on St. Vincent de Paul's Food Pantry Sign Up Genius page to volunteer.
Instructions to follow:
1. Go to this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084da5a628a0fa7-food
2. Register as a Sign Up Genius volunteer
3. Then reserve your dates to volunteer.
4. Cancelling your Volunteer Spot. It is your job to go back into the Sign Up to remove your
name if you can no longer volunteer. This will give others the chance to sign up so the Food
Pantry is not left short of volunteers!
4. You may also volunteer with your home parish volunteer day at the Pantry.
6. When you arrive at the pantry you MUST Sign In & Out at the Pantry In addition to having
your Cathedral time sheet signed. It is very time consuming to look you up at the end of the
year! Once all hours are completed have the supervisor you had the most contact with fill
out your evaluation sheet.
7. IMPORTANT NOTE: If all sign ups are full for Cathedral for a particular date you MAY NOT
sign up under Roncalli or Individuals UNTIL After 3pm the Friday before
the Saturday you plan on Serving. The same goes for Roncalli or others,
if we (Cathedral) has an opening at 3:15pm on a Friday, Roncalli or
another student or individual has the right to sign up in our spots.
