Cathedral High School and Holy Cross
Cathedral High School is blessed to be one of only 15 high schools in the US—and the only one in Indiana—with a Holy Cross connection. That means our students and faculty have a unique relationship with this order along with access to outstanding educational programs and resources such as the Holy Cross Institute at St. Edward's University and Holy Cross College at the University of Notre Dame.
The Holy Cross order was founded by an innovator in student-centered learning, Blessed Fr. Basil Moreau, CSC. He was one of the first to promote a holistic approach, emphasizing that one must educate the whole student—not just the mind, but the body and spirit, as well. Cathedral was founded on that principle and has lived those values since our doors opened in 1918.
Our mission is to provide a diverse group of students the opportunities for spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth through service and academic excellence. Cathedral's affiliation with the Brothers of Holy Cross is one more way to assure our values will remain alive throughout our next 100 years.
