Latin Club

Club Description:
The purpose of the Cathedral Latin Club is to encourage an interest in and an appreciation of the language, literature, and culture of ancient Greece and Rome and to impart an understanding of the debt of our own culture to that of classical antiquity. Cathedral’s Latin Club is part of both the Indiana and National Junior Classical League. The National Junior Classical League is an organization of middle school and high school students sponsored by the American Classical League. It is the largest classical organization in the world today. The Latin Club meets at various times during the year in Mrs. Robie’s classroom and activities include social outings like movies or dinner, service opportunities, and participating and hosting Latin Competitions or Certamen. Students can expect to spend $5 for dues and up to $20 for other costs.
