German Club

 

Club Description:
German Club gives students the opportunity to explore German culture and use the German language outside of the classroom setting, as well as to allow students the chance to interact with other students who are not in their particular class or level of study. Club members attend German cultural events around the Indianapolis area. There are no formal meetings held at school. Instead, students are informed of activities in class or via email.

 Activities include:

Sept:  Oktoberfest at German Park
Oct:    Germanfest at the Athenaeum
Nov:    Mass in German at Old St. Mary's in Cincinnati followed by lunch at the              Hofbraeuhaus in Newport, KY
Dec:   Christmas Party
Jan:    Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra
Feb:    Staatskongress (German State Convention) at Ball State University
Mar:   German Movie Night
Apr/May:  German Club Banquet at the Athenaeum

German Club members can expect to spend approximately $100 in attending these various events.
